Every cloud has a silver lining.
The pressures of lockdown and Covid-19, whilst challenging, have allowed us to lay the foundations for a new aspect to The Falcon restaurant. We have been very busy behind the scenes, turning part of our ground floor restaurant into a delicatessen, which will open it’s doors at our Buntingford site on the 7th July 2020. Initially we will be open for takeaway only, however as restrictions ease we shall be reopening the restaurant alongside the deli and bar for relaxed lunches and evening dining from Chef Kieren’s a la carte menu.
We would love to be an important part of your Hertfordshire life and sell the products you would like to buy, and so we asked you what you wanted to see stocked on our new shelves and your responses helped us shape our offering. From daily changing meats and fish, our menus will also feature a selection of fresh salads, tarts, quiches and sweets to go, alongside daily baked bread, locally roasted coffee, chef’s homemade jams, chutneys and preserves and excellent wines from our wine lists. We are happy to also stock produce from Hertfordshire based suppliers too including local honey from the lavender fields in Hitchen and delicious eggs from Mrs North in Ware.
We are also thrilled to be selling the exceptional, multi-award winning charcuterie from Trealy Farm which has been hailed by many as producing the best artisan charcuterie in the UK. Based in rural Monmouthshire, the Trealy Farm team combine traditional artisan methods with innovation to create a range of ingredients and meats that are some of the best we have come across. What’s more, they care hugely about traceability and sustainability in their methods, and only working with ethically sourced British and wild meats and the finest herbs and spices. We can’t wait to bring their brilliant products to you.
On our menus you can expect to find a selection seasonal daily salads, quiches, classic sausage rolls and luxury scotch eggs, tempting brownies and cheese and charcuterie plates.
We cannot wait to bring an exciting new dynamic to Buntingford and it’s High Street, and look forward to opening our doors again to you very soon!
